Experience

Steve commenced working with Prosperity Advisers in June 2008, as Principal, Sydney Office. Prior to joining Prosperity, Steve held a number of senior Tax roles within the Big 4 accounting firms.

Steve has over 14 years experience specialising in the area of taxation.  Steve has the expert ability to analyse and understand the complex taxation needs of his clients and design and deliver development programs that achieve the required business improvements.  Steves approach is to break down and simplify complex tax issues in order for clients to understand.

Steve has a unique cross-industry client experience base, working within the Big 4 accounting firms.  He has worked with clients including Coles Myer, Wesfarmers, HBOS and Alinta.

Steve is an outstanding presenter, communicator and facilitator, with a broad based tax and organisation development background, which has included specific experience in leading an Asia Pacific wide tax technical training development program.

Steve has also developed and implemented an external communications and education program that built a thought leadership base on best-practice in tax consolidation/IFRS tax systems and corporate governance of the tax function.

He also successfully led a program involving extensive technical presentations and workshops with top tier corporates, identifying the impacts of tax consolidation and IFRS, organisational development needs and consequential training and change programmes to implement best practice systems and procedures.

Steve has been responsible for the technical education of a generation of tax practitioners from within the Big 4, who are now engaged as tax counsels and managers in corporates and professional service firms across the country.
